Being called Mom more than 500 times a day, I sometimes forget my actual name is Sarah. As is true for many mothers, my role as ‘mom’ takes precedence over my other credentials and roles I play in life. I am a registered social worker, with a Masters in Social Work form the University of Waterloo. I have been working with families for the past ten years; facilitating parent support groups, delivering parent education workshops, as a family counsellor and a children’s counsellor. I am also a Certified Gottman Educator, a Positive Discipline Parent Educator and Circle of Security Parenting Program Facilitator. I have completed training in Emotional Focused Couples Therapy, Play Therapy, Complex Trauma and Sexual Abuse. I have attended over 75 births and have had the honour of supporting hundreds of women and couples on their journey through pregnancy, birth and postpartum.I have received special training in postpartum mood disorders and supporting women who have experienced miscarriage, still birth or infant loss. I’m passionate about supporting families. Five years ago I realized that an essential part of my parenting tool box was essential oils. So adding essential oil education and sales to my services was a natural extension. Being able to offer families a tangible, safe, effective and affordable tool brings me so much joy and I love seeing the amazing results. I look forward to hearing from you.
